Hoagie's in Ellwangen

We have just stopped at the location for a bite to eat and some rest after a long stressful day. After which the establishment gave the impression that it was closed with dimmed and partially switched off lights, no visible people and the unoccupied parking lot, we decided to go to McDonald's. On the way back to the car, the manager or owner of the restaurants came out and immediately threatened with a punishment because we were standing in his parking lot. No normal conversation was sought. It was immediately apparent that he was only interested in venting his frustration.

The rude manager makes you lose your appetite. Someone who approaches customers for no reason, rashly, roughly and very disrespectfully and doesn't even apologize afterwards when it turns out that he was wrong shouldn't run a restaurant in my opinion!

Good fast food pizza. Price okay.

Not too big place with a wide choice of pizza, sandwiches and salads. The pizza is soft and tasty. The price is moderate.

Unfortunately, very disappointing. In my opinion, the service was very unfriendly, but the icing on the cake were 2 dry and lean "subs". 2 sweet baked rolls with 1 slice of tomato, 1 lettuce leaf, an infinite number of pickled cucumbers and dried "chicken". Better drive a little further and get the original from subway, even if you're hungry ... I would never go to Hoagie's again and would not recommend it to others.

Today I stopped at Hoagie's on my way home because I was very hungry and wanted to try something new. Veggie Sub was ok but I don't need a second time.

Unfortunately we didn't like pizzas at all. We had something of frozen pizzas with cheap greasy salami.

Price / performance ratio great, usually no long wait and the best pizza in Ellwangen.

Clean toilet if no McDoof is too full.

Been there on August 20, 2020, only found coffee on the price list. After positive information, whether Cappucino & Latte Macchiato is available, both ordered once. We received 2 identical cups with an indefinable dark liquid without milk content, which tasted neither coffee nor the order. To make it somehow drinkable, opened several 10g packets of coffee cream, but they were all lumpy. Never again !

As a regular it was the last time today. Was misunderstood by the boss when ordering. I thought I was asked about the size of the drink, but he meant the size of the pizza. After a minute I tried to explain to him that I unfortunately misunderstood him and whether he could make a medium out of the large family pizza because he had not yet started preparing it. I was turned on by the boss. But it gets even better, because he also brought the large family pizza with the comment "the large pizza as requested". This made me angry as a regular. When I wanted to confront him, the whole thing escalated and he yelled at me in front of all the customers I had always had something to complain about for 15 years, but we have never exchanged a word except when ordering. If something doesn't suit me where I don't go to eat there for years. He yelled after me when I left the restaurant, but it was only about the money. I never mentioned this, however, as it was only about not having to throw away half a pizza. We then left without anything to eat and even then he continued to harass us. That's not how you deal with regular guests. Unfortunately, here the boss is the king, not the customer. That was the very last time !!!!

Was just at the Hoagies and ordered a pizza to take with me, the gentleman then said he would bring it to me when it was ready. I told him I was waiting outside because it was 33 degrees in the shade and there was nothing going on in the shop ... He said that it was okay to wait after 40 minutes, I couldn't believe that there was a pizza in a shop with absolutely nothing going on is 40 min. I went in there and asked if it was going to take a long time ?! The gentleman stood behind the counter, bored, and gave me a cold pizza. Very sad, if you are so lazy you can't say I bring it .... It was definitely my last visit to Hooagies in Ellwangen !!!!!!

Better than starving, but really cool is different

Very tasty and quick you can only recommend it. The ambience was also nice to look at.

Thin coffee in a paper cup, greasy pizza with ketchup on top. Not my thing.

First of all, of course you can't get to the Italian I trust - but it is probably not wanted either. Nevertheless, I was pleasantly surprised, pizza was delicious, short waiting time, friendly staff, good value for money. It is an interesting alternative to the all-round fast food restaurants. Therefore from me 5 stars.

We stopped here spontaneously and were surprised that nobody was in the restaurant, so guests. We didn't care because it should be quick and it did. A freshly made pizza and a hoagies, a large sandwich or croque. Both were delicious and freshly made. The price is really great, too. Clear recommendation to the other fast food restaurants nearby 👍🏽

Quick service, reasonable price, the pizza is more American style than Italian one.

If I could give 0 stars, I would do it. We thought about eating here, but the manager / owner was so unfriendly that we changed our minds without trying. I've never experienced anything so rude in a restaurant. Service desert Germany. Were not surprised that the restaurant was almost empty, if he deals with every potential customer. The pizza does not taste so good that I would tolerate the species.

Friendly and attentive service - the concept of hoagie's is good. The pizzas are well stocked and tasty. The restaurant is decorated in the style of an American diner and well located on the A7. The atmosphere is pleasant. Good value for money.

The staff was unfriendly; the place overall looks dirty; I'd recommend you to use a toilet elsewhere; and a regular frozen pizza from your supermarket tastes better. I'd rather starve then to eat here again.

Hammer Pizza tip top!

Cheap, large, and fast pizza. Unlimited toppings for free per pizza, but they don't put a lot. The ingredients aren't great, but get what you pay for. Building is nice and clean. Staff was polite and spoke enough English for tourists like me.
